Standard-level protectors are made of medical-grade thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), a soft, comfortable and hypoallergenic material. With regular cleaning and care, they can last at least 2 years. Warranty: 2 months. They are black and transparent, the colour of the acoustic filter varying with the model chosen.

Each package contains 3 pairs of tips in different sizes (S, M and L), so you can pick the one that suits you best, 2 acoustic filters whose attenuation level varies with the model chosen, 1 aluminium carrying case with a keyring and 1 instruction leaflet. The tips are reusable and the filters reduce the sound level while keeping a natural perception of the environment.

Choose whichever of the 3 tip sizes fits your ear best. Insert the acoustic filter into the tip, then gently introduce the protector into the ear canal until it sits comfortably and seals well. To take it out, hold the tip and pull it gently with a slight rotating movement.

After use, clean the protectors if needed with the Phonak cleaning spray or cleaning wipes, then let them dry completely before putting them back in their case. They are reusable: replace the tips if they are damaged, worn or no longer seal properly.

Plus-level protectors are made of medical-grade silicone or acrylic, depending on the model and the use. Their lifespan depends on how often they are used, on care and on the natural change in the shape of your ear canal. Fit and comfort warranty: 2 months. Replace your protectors when they are damaged, worn or no longer seal properly.

Your purchase includes a pair of protectors custom made for your ears, 1 carrying case with a zip and 1 instruction leaflet. Available colours vary with the model chosen: ask our team.

Gently insert each protector into the matching ear and position it until it sits well. To take it out, hold it by the part provided for that purpose and pull gently. After use, always store your protectors in their case, to keep them clean and protected.

Clean them regularly with the Phonak cleaning wipes or the Phonak cleaning spray applied to a dry cloth. Rub firmly but gently to remove wax and dirt. Make sure they are clean and dry before putting them back in their case.

If your protector is hard to insert, you can use a very small amount of glycerine or of a pure, natural oil you know and have already used on your skin, such as olive oil. Dip the tip of your little finger lightly in a minimal amount of oil, then pass it gently around the entrance of the ear canal with a small rotating movement. Then insert the protector: it should settle more easily. A tiny amount is enough.

For custom protection, an appointment is needed to take impressions of your ear canals. The impressions are then scanned and sent to Phonak, which makes your protectors and ships them to us. Allow about 3 weeks before they are available at our centre.

Each section gives the attenuation of its item, or the filters available at Plus level. The values given are indicative: they can vary with the filter chosen, the material, the configuration and the individual fit of the protector. The exact attenuation of your protector is stated in the instruction leaflet supplied with the product.
