Phonak hearing aid
Phonak EON CROS
The CROS system of Phonak's new EON generation, presented in Switzerland on 14 September 2026: the Cros E-R transmitter picks up sound on the deaf side and sends it wirelessly to the hearing aid worn on the hearing ear.

In brief
- 360° sound awareness: follow a conversation whichever side it comes from.
- Wireless transmission to the hearing aid on the good ear.
- New 2026 generation: same housing as the Audéo EON, 25% smaller than the previous generation.
- Rechargeable, Bluetooth, myPhonak app.
- A two-device system: a Cros E-R paired with an Audéo EON hearing aid at level 30, 50, 70 or 90.
Who is it for?
If you have hearing loss in only one ear, a CROS system can dramatically improve your awareness and understanding. A device on your non-hearing ear picks up sound and wirelessly transmits it to a hearing aid on your good ear, so you can follow conversations from all sides. It is therefore always worn as a bilateral configuration: the CROS device on its own is not enough.

Frequently asked questions
How does a CROS system work?
A device on your non-hearing ear picks up sound and wirelessly transmits it to a hearing aid worn on your good ear, so you can follow conversations from all sides. This is the typical restaurant situation, where the person you are talking to is on the wrong side and changing seats is not always possible.
What changes with the EON generation?
The housing, 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous generation, plus the battery life and automatic functions of the paired hearing aid. The Cros E-R replaces the Cros I-R from 14 September 2026.
Can I buy the CROS device on its own?
No. The CROS is a two-device system, sold only as a bilateral configuration: a Cros E-R paired with an Audéo EON hearing aid at level 30, 50, 70 or 90.
How much does the EON CROS cost?
The table of prices by level is on this page; as the CROS is a two-device system, prices are shown in a bilateral configuration, all inclusive. Your quote confirms the level suited to your hearing; request it below or download our full price list.
Can I try it before deciding?
Yes. Free 3-week trial, risk-free and with no obligation to buy, with devices tuned to your hearing.
